Training and Instructor Support Services for the Office of Regulatory Affairs
The mission of the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) is to protect consumers and enhance public health by maximizing compliance of FDA regulated products and minimizing risk associated with those products. To support this mission, McKinley, along with C2 Technologies, Inc., identifies instructors and coordinates their participation in training ORA’s Field and Headquarters personnel on the laws, regulations, scientific concepts, and standards related to FDA-regulated program area commodities.
FEMA Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Task Orders
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland, offers the finest in educational resources to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through both the National Fire Academy (NFA) and the Emergency Management Institute (EMI). To support NETC, McKinley and its partner, C2 Technologies, Inc., are working on several Task Orders awarded under a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. Emergency Management Institute Update and Development of FEMA Logistics Courses
McKinley is currently updating three existing online courses for the Logistics Branch of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Working with C2 Technologies, Inc., a leader in offering highly effective learning solutions to the Federal government, McKinley is updating:
In addition to revising these courses, McKinley is developing a new course, Intermediate Property Management, which will be a seven-hour online course that will reside on EMI’s eLearning LMS and/or FEMA’s Employee Knowledge Center (FEKC).
Improving the Graduation Rate and College Preparation in High-Poverty High Schools
McKinley Group is the prime contractor for a three-year project with the U.S. Department of Education. The contract includes three major components: Monitoring and providing technical support to 29 High School Graduation Initiative (HSGI) grantees, providing technical support to five State Educational Agencies (SEAs) that comprised a Professional Learning Community (PLC), and managing, providing and developing technical assistance tools for a 20-site pilot program to increase Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications. Activities include quantitative and qualitative research, conference planning, technical support, and evaluation and monitoring.
Technical Assistance and Support to GEAR UP Grantees for Improving the Use of Longitudinal Data
McKinley Group developed an online course that converted two existing instructor-led courses to one distance learning course using the NFA Online template, ensuring its compatibility with NFA Online. As part of the development process, the McKinley Group ensured that the product was SCORM-conformant and Section 508-compliant according to FEMA guidelines. For this effort, the McKinley Group received a Silver Omni Award for Educational Media.
